Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Retail Store Manager for its Port Elizabeth store in a hybrid role. You will support the Store Manager with daily operations, supervise staff, and drive sales while balancing in-store duties with remote administrative tasks where necessary.

You will lead by example with strong customer service focus, develop team capabilities, and ensure excellent store presentation to meet business targets in the Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

• Retail supervisory or assistant management experience.
• Strong sales skills and customer service focus.
• Leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise and train retail associates, providing guidance on customer service, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
• Drive sales performance by motivating the team and implementing effective sales strategies.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and efficient merchandising.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Contribute to visual merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive store presentation.
• Potentially manage specific administrative tasks or reporting remotely as needed.
