Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to lead Quality Systems and Continuous Improvement in East London. This hybrid role focuses on implementing QMS, auditing, and driving CAPA initiatives to reduce defects and improve reliability across manufacturing operations.

You will apply ISO 9001 and Six Sigma methodologies, mentor teams, and collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering with focus on quality management and process improvement.
Proven experience with ISO 9001 standards and implementation; Six Sigma knowledge (Green Belt preferred).

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) across manufacturing operations.
Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify improvement opportunities.
Analyze quality data to identify root causes of defects and implement CAPA.
Develop and standardize work instructions and SOPs for consistency.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to embed quality in operations.
Train and mentor staff on quality principles and tools.
Monitor key quality metrics and report performance to management.
Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in quality management.
