Placements24 is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Engineer in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable pipeline networks through integrity plans, risk assessments, and NDT inspection coordination.

Hybrid work blends on-site field coordination with office analysis. The ideal candidate has a mechanical/materials/civil background with 6+ years in pipeline integrity, strong corrosion knowledge, and experience with NDT methods and integrity software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Civil or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in pipeline integrity engineering, ideally in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of corrosion, materials science and failure modes.
• Experience with NDT methods (UT, RT, magnetic particle).
• Familiarity with API 1160 and ASME B31.8 codes and standards.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and collaboration skills; hybrid work readiness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage pipeline integrity management plans.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation for corrosion and third-party threats.
• Plan and supervise NDT and other inspection activities.
• Analyze inspection data and recommend repairs or rehabilitation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams; coordinate external providers.
