Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Engineer for a remote role based in Durban, South Africa. You will develop and implement pipeline integrity management programs, conduct risk assessments, and oversee maintenance strategies to ensure safety and reliability of our oil & gas infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and at least five years in pipeline integrity within oil and gas, with API 1160 and ASME B31.4/31.8 familiarity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pipeline integrity management in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with ILI data and hydrostatic testing.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to work remotely and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute pipeline integrity management plans (PIMPs).
• Conduct risk-based assessments to identify threats and prioritize activities.
• Oversee data from ILI tools, hydrostatic testing and other assessments.
• Recommend repairs, maintenance and upgrades for pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with API/ASME codes and regulatory requirements.
• Develop fitness-for-service assessments for corroded sections.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Maintain records of integrity data, assessments and actions.
