Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Paralegal Specialist to join a Cape Town–based legal team. The role supports attorneys with case prep, research and client interaction in a hybrid setting balancing in-office and remote duties.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Paralegal Studies, 3+ years’ experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with legal research tools and MS Office. Hybrid role with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Paralegal Studies or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and corporate transactions.
• Conduct legal research using various databases and summarize findings.
• Organize and maintain case files, evidence, and discovery documents.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings under attorney supervision.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel to gather information and schedule appointments.
• Manage the discovery process, including document review and production.
