The role offers a hybrid model with some on-site days in Pretoria, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and a clear path to Network Administrator roles in IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate with a strong interest in IT and networking.
• A relevant IT qualification or foundational knowledge of computer networks is a plus.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Provide technical support for network-related problems reported by users.
• Learn and apply network security best practices.
• Assist in managing network infrastructure documentation and diagrams.
• Participate in the setup and configuration of new network equipment.
• Monitor network traffic and identify potential security threats or performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with senior administrators on network upgrades and projects.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
