Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team in Centurion, Gauteng. You will assess clients, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions across clinic and home-settings to enhance daily living and functional independence.

The role requires HPCSA registration, a relevant degree, and experience in rehabilitation or community settings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Registration with HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa).
Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in rehabilitation or community-based settings.
Strong knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and intervention strategies.
Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for individuals with physical, cognitive, or developmental challenges.
Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with clients and their families.
Implement therapeutic interventions, including exercises, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications.
Provide education and training to clients and caregivers on self-care techniques, energy conservation, and safety strategies.
Evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Document all assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately and timely.
