Placements24 is partnering with a busy professional family in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, to hire a dedicated Nanny & Educational Support for two school-aged children. You will supervise after-school activities, assist with homework, organize educational and recreational projects, prepare healthy snacks, and ensure safety, with some transport to activities and remote coordination of learning resources.

Qualifications

• Previous nanny, tutor, or childcare experience with school-aged children.
• Interest or background in education/child development.
• Excellent English and capable of academic support.
• Patient, responsible, and loves working with children.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Multitask and manage time effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to adapt to a hybrid work model.
• Reliable and punctual.

Responsabilités

• Provide after-school supervision and support for school-aged children.
• Assist children with homework and assignments, ensuring completion and understanding.
• Organise and supervise educational and recreational activities, including creative projects and outings.
• Prepare healthy snacks and light meals for the children.
• Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times.
• Transport children to and from extracurricular activities and appointments as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities.
• Tidy up children's play areas and maintain general order in their rooms.
• Potentially assist with remote learning coordination and resource gathering.
• Foster positive social skills and emotional development in the children.
