Placements24 is seeking a warm, reliable Nanny and Educational Support for a busy Mossel Bay family with two school-aged children (ages 7 and 9). This part-time role follows a hybrid arrangement, focusing on after-school care and occasional evenings/weekends.

You will safeguard the children's safety and spark their learning. You will supervise homework, plan activities, prepare snacks, and help with personal care while maintaining open communication with parents.

Qualifications

• Experience as nanny/childminder/educator for school-aged children.
• Ability to support homework and academic learning.
• Excellent understanding of child development for ages 7–9.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Patience, responsibility, and a genuine affection for children.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Able to adapt to hybrid schedule, including after-school hours.
• References from previous childcare positions are required.
• Must be trustworthy and discreet.

Responsabilités

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment after school.
• Supervise homework completion, offering assistance and encouragement as needed.
• Plan and engage children in age-appropriate recreational and educational activities.
• Prepare light snacks and meals for the children.
• Transport children to and from extracurricular activities or appointments.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding the children's day, progress, and any concerns.
• Light housekeeping duties related to the children, such as tidying play areas and children's bedrooms.
• Occasional evening or weekend babysitting as agreed upon with the family.
• Assist with the children's general well-being and personal care.
