Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join a progressive infrastructure firm in Mahikeng, North West. The role covers design, analysis, and integration of complex mechanical systems for key infrastructure projects, ensuring efficiency and compliance with engineering standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in mechanical design/analysis, strong CAD/FEA skills (AutoCAD, Revit), and a proactive problem-solving mindset, contributing to sustainable engineering practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical systems design and analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and thermodynamics.
• Experience in infrastructure projects (water, energy, transport) is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for infrastructure projects.
• Perform detailed analyses including stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics simulations.
• Ensure designs meet specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with civil, electrical, and project engineers for integration.
