The role blends on-site work with remote coordination, offering exposure to advanced hydraulic technology and safety-driven operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hydraulic knowledge, and the ability to read schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Hydraulic Technician or similar mechanical role.
• In-depth knowledge of hydraulic principles, components (pumps, valves, cylinders, accumulators), and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
• Experience with hydraulic systems in a marine environment is highly advantageous.
• Relevant vocational training or certification in hydraulics or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission hydraulic systems on various marine vessels and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive servicing of hydraulic components and systems.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic system malfunctions, including leaks, pressure losses, and component failures.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to accurately identify and address issues.
• Conduct performance testing and make necessary adjustments to optimize system efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and modifications.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Maintain detailed service logs, repair reports, and inventory records for hydraulic parts and fluids.
• Provide technical assistance and training to junior technicians and clients when required.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repair services as needed.
