Job summary

Placements24 in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, is seeking a Hydraulic Systems Technician to install, service and repair a wide range of hydraulic systems for marine and industrial applications. You will diagnose faults, interpret schematics and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

With a minimum of four years in hydraulics, you will travel to client sites, work independently or with a team, and contribute to continuous improvement through thorough records and proper maintenance.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Hydraulics.
• Minimum 4 years experience with hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair a wide range of hydraulic systems and components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system faults, leaks, and performance issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of hydraulic equipment.
• Interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients on hydraulic system operation and maintenance.
• Fabricate and install hydraulic piping and connections.
• Maintain accurate service records and parts inventories.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
• Assist with system testing and commissioning.
