Placements24 is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager for Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The role leads inventory management, ensures accuracy across storage facilities, implements controls, conducts audits, analyzes data, and reduces discrepancies.

This hybrid position blends strategic planning with on-site oversight, requiring collaboration with warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams to optimize stock, improve turnover, and support financial accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, logistics, business admin, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain.
• Experience implementing inventory control systems.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Proficient with WMS and ERP software.
• Strong leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
• Oversee tracking and management of inventory from receipt to dispatch.
• Plan cycle counts and physical audits to reconcile discrepancies.
• Analyze data to forecast demand and optimize stock levels.
• Minimize shrinkage, obsolescence, and damage.
• Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams.
• Utilize inventory software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Generate reports on inventory status and performance metrics.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
