Placements24 is seeking an Energy Systems Analyst for a Gauteng-based energy utility in Soweto. The role focuses on analyzing and modeling complex energy systems to support a smarter, more resilient electricity grid.

You will use data analytics, simulations, and technical knowledge to identify opportunities for grid improvements and DER integration. Collaboration across engineering, operations, and planning, preparing technical reports, and staying current with industry trends are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in power systems analysis, grid operations or energy modeling.
• Proficiency in power system simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of grid modernization and distributed energy resources.
• Experience handling large datasets and statistical analysis.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Develop and apply models and simulations to analyze grid performance and modernization initiatives.
• Assess impact of integrating renewables, storage, and EVs on grid stability and capacity.
• Analyze datasets from smart meters, SCADA, and grid assets for trends and optimization.
• Evaluate technical and economic feasibility of grid technologies and strategies.
