Placements24 is seeking a versatile Full Stack Developer to join their growing e-commerce team in Richards Bay. This hybrid role spans front-end and back-end work, including databases and payment integrations, to deliver a seamless customer experience.

You will work across the full technology stack, collaborating with UI/UX and leveraging modern frameworks to drive a robust online platform and scalable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and at least one modern JavaScript framework.
• Strong experience with back-end development languages and frameworks, along with API design.
• Solid understanding of database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Build and integrate robust back-end services and APIs using languages and frameworks such as Node.js, Python/Django, or Java/Spring.
• Design and manage databases (SQL and NoSQL) to support application functionality and data storage needs.
• Implement and optimize e-commerce functionalities, including product catalogs, shopping carts, and payment gateway integrations.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure the delivery of reliable software in KwaZulu-Natal.
