Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Planner in the Soweto region to optimize the flow from production to consumer. The role combines on-site collaboration with remote flexibility, emphasizing demand forecasting, inventory control, and cross-functional coordination to minimize costs and meet demand.

The ideal candidate has a 4+ year track record in supply chain planning, strong analytical ability, and proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
At least 4 years in supply chain planning, inventory management or logistics coordination.
Proven experience with demand forecasting techniques and software.
Strong grasp of inventory management principles and optimization strategies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Experience with SAP and supply chain planning software; effective hybrid communication.

Responsibilities

Develop demand forecasts using historical data, trends, and sales input.
Plan and manage inventory across multiple distribution points to minimize costs.
Coordinate with production, logistics and sales for seamless operations.
Optimize routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
Manage relationships with 3PLs and other partners.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
Monitor KPIs and report variances; participate in S&OP meetings.
Implement process improvements to boost efficiency and compliance.
