Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Facilities Operations Manager to oversee extensive facilities in Sandton, Gauteng. This hybrid role blends on-site leadership with remote strategic planning to ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems and services.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and strong financial, vendor, and team management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Senior facilities management or operations leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety) and maintenance practices.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent financial management and budgeting capabilities.
• Proficiency with facility management software and project management tools.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement strategic plans for efficient operation and maintenance of all facilities.
• Oversee daily operations including building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and security systems.
• Mentor and manage a team of facility staff and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Manage facility budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee vendor management, contracts, SLAs and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate capital projects, renovations and space planning.
• Develop emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and audits for quality and efficiency.
• Utilize remote tools for performance monitoring, reporting and strategy meetings.
