Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Event Sanitation Coordinator for Benoni, Gauteng, to oversee sanitation and waste management at large events. The role blends on-site coordination with remote planning, demanding strong organization and proactive problem-solving to keep venues safe and hygienic.

You will lead cleaning teams, manage supplies, and liaise with organizers and third-party providers while ensuring compliance with health and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to organize and coordinate multiple event sanitation tasks.
• Strong planning and scheduling capabilities for on-site and remote work phases.
• Excellent communication with organizers, staff, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sanitation plans for all assigned events.
• Coordinate the deployment and management of cleaning staff and resources during events.
• Ensure adequate provision and placement of waste bins, recycling stations, and sanitary facilities.
• Supervise cleaning and waste removal activities to maintain high standards throughout events.
• Conduct pre-event site assessments and post-event clean-up inspections.
• Manage inventory of sanitation supplies and equipment needed for events.
• Liaise with event organizers, venue management, and third-party service providers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Respond effectively to any sanitation-related issues or emergencies that arise during events.
