Placements24 is seeking an innovative Automotive Software Developer to join its R&D team in Nelspruit. The role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for automotive systems, including infotainment, ADAS, and embedded control units.

You will collaborate with hardware engineers, system architects, and product managers to deliver reliable software with real-time performance. Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or Java, plus experience with RTOS and automotive

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software development experience, with focus on embedded or automotive software.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, C, Python, or Java.
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies.
Experience with embedded systems and automotive software is desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, code, test, and debug software modules for automotive applications using languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
Develop and maintain software for embedded systems, ensuring performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and system specifications.
Implement software solutions that integrate with automotive hardware components and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture.
Stay abreast of advancements in automotive software technologies.
