Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Automotive Software Engineer to design, develop, and validate embedded software for next-gen automotive systems including infotainment, ADAS, and powertrain control.

The role requires C/C++ and Python, RTOS experience, and familiarity with CAN/LIN/Ethernet, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, Git, and CI/CD. You will work within a distributed, global team on challenging projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Automotive Software Engineer with embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with RTOS and automotive protocols CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns in the automotive domain.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for automotive control units and systems.
• Implement software components that meet AUTOSAR and ISO 26262 standards.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to define software requirements.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure quality.
• Debug and resolve software defects identified during testing or in production.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
