Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Design & Implementation Engineer for our client in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves designing electrical schematics, control panels, wiring diagrams, and implementing PLC/HMI-based automation for manufacturing equipment.

You will select components, develop test plans, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 4–6 years industrial experience are required, with CAD (AutoCAD

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
4–6 years of experience in electrical design and implementation, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Proficiency with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
Experience with VFDs and servo systems; strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Design electrical schematics, control panels, and wiring diagrams for manufacturing equipment.
Specify and select electrical components, motors, drives, and control devices.
Implement and commission electrical control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
Develop and execute test plans to ensure functionality and safety.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical/control issues during implementation and operation.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems into machinery.
