Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce Platform Developer to enhance and maintain our online storefront in Pretoria. You will develop, implement, and optimize the e-commerce platform, integrating new features, and troubleshooting issues to ensure a fast, reliable shopping experience for customers.

The ideal candidate has strong PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills, plus experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and Git.

Qualifications

• Proven web development experience with e-commerce platforms
• Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience with database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with version control (Git)
• Understanding of SEO and web performance optimization
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy new features and functionalities for the e-commerce website.
• Integrate third-party applications and APIs (e.g., payment gateways, shipping providers, CRM systems).

• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues across the platform.
