Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Drilling Supervisor to oversee drilling operations around Port Elizabeth. This hands-on leadership role requires directing crews, managing equipment, and enforcing safety protocols to deliver efficient, cost-conscious performance in a hybrid setting balancing site supervision with office planning.

The ideal candidate has extensive field experience in oil and gas, strong leadership, and IWCF Level 3 or higher.

Qualifications

• Extensive field experience as Drilling Supervisor or similar in oil and gas.
• Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drilling operations on the rig site in line with the drilling program.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and policies.
• Coordinate activities of drilling crews, service providers, and equipment vendors.
• Monitor drilling parameters and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
• Provide accurate, timely reporting of progress, costs, and incidents.
• Conduct rig inspections and maintain equipment to high standards.
