Placements24 in Randburg is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a specialization in Automation to strengthen our software delivery and IT infrastructure. You will design CI/CD, IaC, and containerization to streamline deployments and improve reliability.

The role requires 3+ years in DevOps, a Bachelor's degree, strong scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration.
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Implement and manage containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
Monitor system performance, reliability, and security; implement proactive solutions.
Automate operational tasks, troubleshooting, and incident response procedures.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.
