Placements24 is seeking a Corporate Communications Specialist to join the Media & PR team in Mahikeng, North West. The hybrid role blends in-office collaboration with remote work as you shape and implement communication strategies that support corporate goals and brand reputation.

You will craft clear messages, manage internal and external communications, and engage stakeholders while collaborating across departments to ensure accurate, impactful communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or a related role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
• Experience in creating engaging content for both internal and external channels.
• Familiarity with media relations and basic PR principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with content management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, collaborating both remotely and on-site in Mahikeng, North West.
• Proactive and self-starter with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute corporate communication plans and strategies.
• Write and edit internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, speeches, and reports.
• Manage and update company intranet and external websites with relevant content.
• Support media relations efforts, including responding to inquiries and pitching stories.
• Coordinate internal communication initiatives to ensure employee alignment and engagement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of crisis communication plans.
• Monitor media coverage and social media for relevant news and trends.
