Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Cleaning Services Coordinator to oversee cleanliness across multiple sites in and around Klerksdorp. The role combines on-site supervision with remote administration to ensure safe, hygienic, and welcoming environments for staff and visitors.

You will schedule cleaning staff, manage supplies and equipment, perform quality checks, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory/coordinator role within cleaning or facilities management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation applicable to cleaning services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid model, managing responsibilities on-site and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning team, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
• Procure, manage, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and machinery.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure cleaning quality meets established standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure all cleaning activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Act as a liaison between the cleaning team, facility management, and other departments.
• Develop and implement training programs for new and existing cleaning staff.
