Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Childcare Coordinator for a hybrid role in Mahikeng, North West, SA. You will supervise staff, develop engaging curricula, and liaise with parents while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will lead a team of educators and administrative staff, manage budgets, and balance on-site supervision with remote administrative tasks. This role offers growth within a supportive organization and a strong community focus.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development, Education, or related field.
• 3–5 years of supervisory/managerial experience in childcare.
• Solid understanding of child development & age-appropriate practices.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with administrative software and remote collaboration tools.
• Ability to manage budgets and resources, knowledge of regulations.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities and staff to ensure high care standards.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Manage staff schedules, training, and evaluations.
• Communicate with parents and guardians to provide updates.
• Ensure health, safety, and licensing compliance.
• Maintain supplies, budgets, and inventory.
• Handle administrative tasks on-site and remotely.
• Organize parent-teacher meetings and community outreach.
• Oversee enrollment processes and waiting lists.
