PlacEMENTS24 is seeking a skilled Chemical Process Engineer to join a Pretoria-based team operating in a hybrid environment. The role focuses on design, development, and optimization of chemical processes across multiple industrial applications to ensure efficiency, product quality, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of chemical process engineering experience.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, kinetics, and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with P&ID development and interpretation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work in office and remote setting.

Responsabilidades

• Design and modify chemical processes to meet production and quality targets.
• Monitor process performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop process documentation, including SOPs, P&IDs, and mass/energy balances.
• Conduct PHAs and ensure safety compliance.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and R&D teams.
• Participate in commissioning and start-up of new equipment and processes.
• Analyze process data to identify efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
• Stay updated with industry technologies and best practices.
• Support development and implementation of process control strategies.
