Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Chassis Systems Engineer in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The hybrid role blends on-site collaboration with remote engagement to design, develop, and validate chassis systems for new vehicle platforms.

You will apply vehicle dynamics expertise and CAE tools (Adams, CarSim, ANSYS, Abaqus) to deliver ride, handling, and safety performance, while working with a multi-disciplinary team and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in automotive chassis design and development.
• Strong vehicle dynamics, NVH knowledge.
• Proficient with CAE tools (Adams, CarSim, ANSYS, Abaqus).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop chassis systems for new vehicle platforms.
• Perform vehicle dynamics analysis and CAE simulations.
• Define system requirements and performance targets.
• Coordinate integration with powertrain and body structures.
• Plan validation testing, in silico and physical.
