Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Engineer specialized in chassis systems to join our R&D team in Pretoria. You will lead design, development, and testing of chassis components, driving performance, safety, and durability.

The role requires 7+ years in automotive chassis, CAD (CATIA/SolidWorks) and simulation (ANSYS/Adams). You will mentor engineers, collaborate with suppliers, and contribute to next-generation vehicle dynamics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in automotive chassis engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of suspension, steering, and braking system design and integration.
• Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Adams).
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, ride, and handling principles.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design, development, and validation of automotive chassis systems, including suspension, steering, and braking components.
• Conduct performance analysis, simulation, and physical testing to optimize chassis dynamics and vehicle handling.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source and integrate new chassis technologies and components.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, design documentation, and test reports.
