Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Building Maintenance Electrician to manage electrical systems for commercial properties in Centurion. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and efficiency of installations, with responsibilities for planned maintenance and fault rectification.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognized trade certificate, have experience in facilities management, and be proficient with testing equipment, blueprints, and relevant safety standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a recognized trade certificate and registrations.
• Experience in building maintenance or facilities management for commercial electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical testing apparatus and diagnostic equipment.
• Understanding of national electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and power distribution.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
• Install new electrical systems and equipment according to specifications and safety codes.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and provide prompt, effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and installations.
