Placements24 is seeking a Biostatistician for a hybrid role in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will design, analyze, and interpret clinical trial data, collaborating with clinical operations, data management, and medical affairs to ensure robust statistical practices.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics and at least four years’ pharma/biotech experience, with SAS (required) and R (desirable), and a strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of biostatistics experience in pharma/biotech.
• Proficiency in SAS (required) and R (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and statistical principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Design clinical trial protocols, including sample size calculations and SAPs.
• Develop and implement statistical analysis methodologies for clinical trial data.
• Perform statistical analysis of clinical trial data using SAS, R, or similar software.
• Interpret statistical results and prepare clear, concise statistical reports for regulatory submissions and publications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and appropriate statistical application.
• Contribute to the development of data review strategies and provide statistical input for database lock.
• Stay current with advancements in biostatistics and statistical methodologies in clinical research.
• Present statistical findings to internal teams, management, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure statistical analyses comply with regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, SAHPRA).
