Placements24 in Nelspruit is seeking an enthusiastic Audit Associate to join the growing audit team. You will assist senior auditors in conducting financial and operational audits for a diverse range of clients, gaining hands-on experience in audit procedures, documentation, and analysis.

This hybrid role offers fieldwork at client sites and remote work for analysis and reporting, providing a dynamic and varied work experience within the accounting profession.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and audit methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with audit software is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing audit engagements under the guidance of audit managers.
• Gather and analyze financial data, documents, and records to identify discrepancies and risks.
• Prepare audit work papers, schedules, and summaries of findings.
• Communicate audit progress and preliminary findings to senior audit staff.
• Perform testing of internal controls and financial statement assertions.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and audit regulations.
