Placements24's client in Richards Bay is seeking a diligent Audit Associate to join the assurance services team. The role blends field-based client work with office analysis, auditing a diverse client portfolio and supporting senior auditors.

You will develop critical examination skills in a client-facing environment within a growth-focused firm. Applicants should be graduates with a accounting-related degree and up to 3 years of audit experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 0–3 years of auditing or accounting experience.
• Good understanding of auditing principles and IFRS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing financial statement audits for various clients.
• Perform audit procedures, including testing internal controls and substantive testing of account balances.
• Gather and analyze audit evidence, documenting findings meticulously.
• Communicate effectively with client personnel to obtain necessary information and documentation.
• Prepare audit working papers and contribute to the drafting of audit reports.
• Stay updated on auditing standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
