Placements24 invites an experienced Aircraft Electrical Engineer to join its Paarl team. In this hybrid role you will design, develop and integrate electrical power and distribution systems for modern aircraft, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.

You will analyze system performance, create schematics, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers on challenging projects. A bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience are required, with ARINC/MIL-STD knowledge valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in aircraft electrical system design
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical standards (e.g., ARINC, MIL-STD)
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software and simulation tools
• Experience with power electronics and distribution systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Design and develop aircraft electrical power systems, including generation, distribution, and utilization
• Perform detailed analysis and simulation of electrical system performance and load balancing
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and related documentation
• Integrate electrical systems with other aircraft components and ensure compatibility
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during development and testing phases
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation electrical standards and regulations
