Job summary

Advania seeks a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join a customer-focused team in Cape Town. You will own incidents, support users and fellow engineers, and build Microsoft-focused skills across a modern technology environment.

Hybrid working with weekly office presence at Century City; salary 22,000–28,000 ZAR gross per month. The role covers Microsoft 365/Azure, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 2nd Line experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Microsoft 365 experience including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Exchange Server and SharePoint Online.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Hands-on with Intune, Defender and PowerShell.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive and Microsoft 365 apps.
• Experience with Active Directory user accounts, permissions and Group Policy.
• Experience administering shared drives and access permissions.
• Solid networking knowledge: DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, VPNs.
• Familiarity with Mimecast security services.
• Structured approach to diagnosing and resolving desktop and software issues.
• Desirable certifications: AZ-900, MS-900, SC-900, AI-900, AZ-140, AZ-104, MD-102 or MS-102.
• Experience with Citrix technologies.

• Troubleshoot and own issues across a varied technology estate until resolution.
• Meet service commitments and SLAs through effective workload management.
