Job summary

Advania is seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer in Cape Town to resolve incidents and provide expert support to predominantly UK-based clients. You will own issues, train teammates, and contribute to service monitoring in a modern Microsoft-centric environment.

The role features hybrid work with weekly office collaboration at Century City, Cape Town, and a focus on Microsoft 365, Azure, and security tooling. Remote-friendly, client-facing, and growth-oriented.

Qualifications

2nd Line experience: 2+ years as a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer.
Microsoft 365: supports Entra ID, Exchange Online, Exchange Server, SharePoint Online.
Azure: working knowledge of Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop.
Endpoint and security: Intune, Defender, PowerShell.
Productivity apps: Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive.
Active Directory: manage user accounts, permissions, groups, GPO.
Storage: administer shared drives and permissions.
Networking: DHCP, DNS, IP, VPN.
Email security: Mimecast familiarity.
Troubleshooting: structured problem resolution.
Certifications: AZ-900, MS-900, SC-900, AI-900, AZ-140, AZ-104, MD-102 or MS-102.
Citrix: experience advantageous.
