Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with HVAC expertise to join the Randburg team on full-time basis. You will design, specify, and manage HVAC projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with codes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of HVAC design and project engineering experience.
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and HVAC tools (HAP, Trace 700).
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, energy efficiency, and building codes.
- Experience with Randburg/Gauteng region is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
- Prepare HVAC design calculations, schematics, and specifications.
- Select HVAC equipment including AHUs, chillers, boilers, fans, and controls.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and energy standards.
- Coordinate HVAC work with electrical, plumbing, and structural teams.
- Manage HVAC projects from installation to commissioning and site inspections.
- Conduct energy modeling and performance analysis.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot HVAC issues.
- Prepare tender documents and assist in contractor evaluations.
