Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Cape Town seeks an enthusiastic HVAC service support technician to assist senior staff with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical HVAC systems at customer sites.

You will learn through structured training, document activities per standards, and communicate professionally with customers on site. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within Cape Town are expected.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate is required.
• Strong interest in mechanical HVAC systems and field service work.
• Willingness to travel within Cape Town with a valid driver’s license.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Exposure to HVAC, refrigeration or mechanical systems is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support HVAC service team in maintenance and repair on customer sites.
• Assist senior technicians during inspections, service calls and preventive maintenance.
• Help diagnose system issues for chillers, package units and pumps.
• Document service activities and parts usage according to Johnson Controls standards.
• Follow safety procedures and quality guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with customers during site visits.
• Build technical capability through mentoring and hands-on field experience.
