Placements24 seeks a skilled HVAC Mechanical Engineer to contribute to building services projects in Upington. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD software and HVAC design/analysis tools (e.g., Revit MEP, Trace 700, HAP).
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and psychrometrics related to HVAC.
• Knowledge of building codes and energy efficiency standards.
• Good project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer HVAC systems, including load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork/piping layouts.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and BoQ for HVAC installations.
• Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress, ensure compliance with design intent, and resolve site queries.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate HVAC designs with other building services (electrical, plumbing).
• Perform energy efficiency analysis and recommend sustainable HVAC solutions.
