About the Role

Our client seeks a talented HVAC Design Engineer to join their building services team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape . This role focuses on the design and specification of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs, ensuring compliance with building codes, energy efficiency standards, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems, including load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications using relevant software.

• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly.
• Conduct site visits for surveys, inspections, and project support during installation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during project execution.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in HVAC or building services.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC design for commercial and industrial applications.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, HAP).
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and psychrometrics.
