Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for major projects in Vereeniging.

You will develop detailed system designs, ensure compliance with building codes and energy standards, and provide technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle, with a focus on sustainable building performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years HVAC system design experience.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, HAP.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• PE license or equivalent certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify complex HVAC systems including AHUs, chillers, boilers, and distribution networks.
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system simulations to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Develop detailed design drawings, schematics, and technical specifications for HVAC installations.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, ASHRAE standards, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and construction teams for integration.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction and commissioning in Vereeniging.

• Design and specify complex HVAC systems , including air handling units, chillers, boilers, and distribution networks.
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system simulations to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Develop detailed design drawings, schematics, and technical specifications for HVAC installations.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, ASHRAE standards, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases in Vereeniging .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of specialized experience in HVAC system design and engineering.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD, HAP) and simulation tools.
