Job summary

Xelvin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with HVAC and building services experience to contribute to mechanical building systems in the Netherlands. You will design, calculate, coordinate, and optimise projects while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver practical, reliable solutions.

The role offers a fixed 2-year contract with potential for permanency, relocation assistance, and Dutch language courses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience with HVAC, building services, mechanical installations, or MEP design.
Knowledge of mechanical calculations and technical documentation.
Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, or similar design tools.
A practical mindset and willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

Design and calculate HVAC systems, domestic water systems, fire protection systems, and other mechanical installations
Perform load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and pressure-loss calculations
Select technical equipment and components based on project requirements
Prepare technical drawings, documentation, specifications, and reports
Work together with electrical, structural, and project engineering teams
Review technical designs and help improve system performance, efficiency, and quality
