Job summary

Air Liquide Large Industries South Africa (ALLISA) is seeking a dedicated HSEQ Practitioner to drive Health, Safety, Environment and Quality across the value chain. You will implement risk-based HSE excellence, perform risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, and collaborate with site operations to maintain compliance with high-hazard standards.

The role requires 2–5 years in a similar environment, a safety-related diploma, and strong knowledge of HSE regulations and the Air

Qualifications

• Educational requirements include a National Diploma in Safety Management; B-Tech or B-Degree in Safety Management is advantageous.
• Relevant Trade Certification is beneficial.
• 2–5 years of applied experience in an HSEQ or high-risk operational environment.
• Knowledge of Air Liquide Southern Africa Management System Policy, HSE processes and legislation is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement issue-based and shutdown-specific safety plans.
• Lead risk assessments (Baseline, Continuous, Issue-Based).
• Identify and investigate non-conformances and incidents.
• Lead root-cause analyses (RCA) and preventive actions.
• Conduct risk-based assurance and compliance audits (LOTO, logbooks, etc.).
• Monitor incident, injury and environmental/quality trends.
• Facilitate safety discussions, toolbox talks and floor stand-downs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain alignment with the HSEQ plan.
