Job summary

Air Liquide Large Industries South Africa (ALLISA) invites a qualified HSEQ Practitioner to drive Health, Safety, Environment and Quality across the value chain. You will embed a proactive risk-based approach, lead risk assessments and audits, investigate incidents, and ensure high-hazard compliance with environmental regulations.

Engage frontline teams through toolbox talks and sustain stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• National Diploma/B-Tech/B-Degree in Safety Management is preferred.
• Two to five years’ experience in an HSEQ or high-risk environment.
• Knowledge of Air Liquide Southern Africa management system policy and HSE processes.
• Familiarity with HSE legislation, audits, risk assessment, and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety plans aligned with the HSEQ game plan.
• Lead workplace hazard identification, risk assessments, and RCA implementation.
• Conduct risk-based assurance audits (lock-out/tag-out, logbooks, legal appointments).
• Monitor incident trends and implement preventive controls.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety stand-downs with frontline personnel.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance.
