Zusammenfassung

Parsons in South Africa seeks a Safety Coordinator to support the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements across project areas. You will assist the HSE team in site inspections, contractor compliance, hazard identification, and maintaining HSE records.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 0-3 years of relevant HSE experience, fresh graduates with HSE background can also be considered.
• Basic practical knowledge of construction site safety requirements.
• Good understanding of risk assessments, method statements, PPE OSHA 10 or equivalent is an advantage.
• First Aid / CPR certification is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Support the implementation of the Project HSE Plan, procedures, and site safety requirements.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and safety walks under the direction of senior HSE personnel.
• Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, hazards, and potential risks and report them to the responsible HSE personnel.
• Monitor compliance with approved Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA), and Method Statements.
• Ensure workers follow established safe work practices and approved control measures.
• Support monitoring of Permit to Work (PTW) requirements for applicable activities.
• Monitor basic high-risk activities including work at height, excavation, lifting operations, hot work, confined spaces, electrical activities, and equipment operations.
• Report incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions immediately to the HSE team.
