Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Health and Safety management, with a focus on construction.
• Advanced safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH) or equivalent.
• Registered with SACPCMP or a relevant professional body.
• Strong knowledge of construction hazards, risk management, and emergency preparedness.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder influence, and change management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the HSE strategy and management systems.
• Lead and mentor the site-based HSE team for effective safety program execution.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and investigate incidents with corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with South African health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.
• Develop and deliver safety training and toolbox talks for all site personnel.
• Engage with clients, authorities, and stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Foster a strong safety culture through visible leadership on all projects.
