Job summary

Placements24 seeks a dedicated HSE Advisor to join our client in Mahikeng, driving health, safety and environmental excellence across operations.

You will develop and implement HSE policies, conduct inspections, lead investigations, and promote a proactive safety culture within the Oil & Gas sector.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE professional, preferably in Oil & Gas or related industrial sector.
• In-depth knowledge of South African HSE legislation and industry best practices.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE management systems and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to all levels of employees.
• Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Advise management on HSE matters and facilitate HSE committee meetings.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated HSE Advisor to join their team in Mahikeng , playing a crucial role in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment across their operations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture.
