Placements24 seeks a dedicated HSE Officer to oversee safety protocols at Mossel Bay facilities. You will develop, implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental programs, conduct risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture within Oil & Gas operations.

The role requires a relevant OHS/EHS qualification and at least 5 years of HSE experience, with strong knowledge of SA legislation and international best practices.

Formación

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HSE Officer, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of South African HSE legislation and international best practices (e.g., OHS Act, environmental laws).
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies (e.g., HAZOP, FMEA).
• Strong communication, influencing, and training skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to emergencies.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to oversee and enforce safety protocols at their facilities in Mossel Bay . This vital role ensures that all operations within the Oil & Gas sector adhere to stringent health, safety, and environmental regulations, protecting employees, the community, and the ecosystem. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE programs, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture. This position requires a proactive and vigilant individual committed to maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity in the Western Cape .
