Job summary

Mecad Systems in Cape Town is seeking an HR professional to manage recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes. You will provide employee relations support and guidance to line management, handling disciplinary matters and CCMA engagements as needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant 3year HR qualification is required.
• 2–3 years in HR role.
• IR and recruitment experience essential.
• Solid understanding of SA Labour legislation.
• Experience in industrial relations and CCMA matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, selection, induction and onboarding processes.
• Facilitate HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including appointments, transfers and promotions.
• Provide effective employee relations and industrial relations support.
• Guide and support Line Management and employees on disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Represent the company at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations, where required.
• Administer employee benefits and respond to related employee enquiries.
• Provide HR support and guidance to the Operations Department.
• Partner with Line Management in implementing and managing performance management processes.
• Promote employee engagement through culture, values, team development, continuous improvement and employee empowerment initiatives.
• Build effective relationships with Line Management, employees and key stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Monitor compliance with company HR policies and procedures.
• Participate in HR projects and other organisational initiatives.
• Handle and resolve employee-related enquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Perform other HR-related duties and projects as required by the HR Manager
